In 1998 NEI expanded its activities to manufacture switchgear components, the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman. This division has state-of-the-art technology to manufacture a wide rage of switchgear components. The company manufactures Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs), Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs), Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs or RCCBs), Distribution Boards and G.I. Switch Boxes, each range offering high performance, compactness, versatility, excellent reliability and overall economy.

NEI have, as part of manufacturing facilities, specialised equipment to process electrical grade thermoset materials used in the switchgear products and other related processing machineries. Latest microprocessor controlled test equipment with mutiple parameter data capture features are used for calibration and Quality Assurance of switchgear.Close control of the manufacturing process and rigorous testing procedures ensure that the switchgear products are of the highest quality. 

NEI switchgear products conform to relevant IEC and BSI standards and are tested at renowned laboratories in Europe.
