Gulf Acrylic Industries LLC / Shamal Plastic Industries LLC was founded in the year 2001 in the Sultanate of Oman. Backed by renowned names in the industry like Ominvest, Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, Said Salem Al Wahaibi Group (Assarain) & Mohsin Haider Darwish Llc (MHD), the organization enjoys great financial strength and optimum alignment of operations vis a vis industry requirement.

The manufacturing facility is located in Sohar, the well-connected industrial hub of Sultanate of Oman, inside the Sohar Industrial Estate. Apart from other benefits Sohar enjoys, its equal proximity to Dubai and Muscat which are both about 2 hours’ drive away by road, which gives it excellent accessibility.

Equipped with two state of the art Italian Omipa extrusion lines, Gulf Acrylic Industries Llc offers a wide variety of thermoplastic sheets conforming to international standards. Our highly skilled and experienced staff ensures that all our products maintain the highest levels of quality at all times and orders are executed on schedule, each time.

Our product portfolio includes sheets made from Polycarbonate, Acrylic, SAN, HIPS & ABS in various thickness, colors and surface designs. Apart from standard sizes, we welcome good orders in custom sizes and thickness. Over the years, Gulf Acrylic Industries Llc has developed into one of the largest manufacturers of various polymer sheets with a combined capacity of over 8000 metric tons.

In 2019, we have started production of Acrylic Mirror sheets, in Silver, Gold and a few other colors. Our Mirror sheets are of the highest quality and are exported to Europe, Usa, Fareast and all Middle East countries.

Shamal Plastics also produces the best quality UV coated Polycarbonate Profiles skylight sheets, matching most profile designs of the roofing industry with scope for custom designing.

Apart from extrusion, we have started thermoforming of polycarbonate, acrylic and other plastic sheets that we manufacture. We can make domes and other shapes using our thermoforming machine to maximum size of 3.3 mtrs x 2 mtrs x 0.80 mtr [Length x width x height].

Gulf Acrylic products are widely used in various applications like construction industry, advertisement and general signage’s, lighting, paneling, thermoforming [Shower trays, Bath tubs etc].
